Hi everyone, I want to start learning gaelic football. It was something I never done in school and, 19 now, want to learn it. Does anyone know if there is a such thing as beginner classes for it?

    Thanks

Get a ball and spent time playing on your own.

Ask someone who knows a bit of gaelic to help. Not really much to gaelic when ya break it down; solo-ing, high catching, handpass.

Video clips on youtube and try re.enact them? :)

Hurling is a tad different! :/

Dont know about beginners classes but i reckon to go with what Kaimera said to join a local team. Explain to them you are a total newcomer and im sure they will have you.

Have you played ball sports before? Soccer rugby or what have ya? If so then you will have an idea of what position you want to play

I'd learn how to solo run on my own somewhere first, before joining a club. shouldn't take you too long. I don't remember being specifically taught how to do it. Just spent a few hours as a kid trying to get it right.

I know an english guy who moved here in his thirties and joined a gaelic team. He hadn't a clue and picked it up as he went along. Though, he was the kind of guy that didn't mind making an ars€ of himself in public.
