AVI file wont open in Premiere Pro, POssible Codec problem ?

Hi, I've been trying to edit some AVI clips in premiere pro CS3. But they wont open. I can open WMVs no problem I was reading on the net it might be because of codex (codec) But how do i know what codex i need?

Gspot will tell you what codec is being used,
