Future Shorts Ireland at Bernard Shaw
    4pm April 19th, 2008

Future Shorts Ireland, part of the Future Shorts International short film collective have brought together another exciting selection of both Irish and International work for your viewing pleasure.

This month's International selection is a collection of love-fueled and sex-themed short films and music videos from around the world. Highlights include the enchanting romance 'Tolya' from the Sam Spiegel school in Israel, Alma Har'el's stunning music video for Beirut, as well as the classic story 'On s'embrasse?' from France. Raw, sexy and damned entertaining, this is Future Shorts.

The Irish film lineup includes :

Wrong Project Wrong Time directed by Revolt Video, a documentary about the Shell to Sea campaign in County Mayo.

Martha's Hand, directed by Aga Grandowicz, a surreal look into space and form.

Uncle Joe, directed by Patrick O'Shea. Joe arrives at the family summer house to find his niece camped out in the garage after running away from home. Over the course of the weekend Maeve discovers the true value of family...

Dreams, directed by Sean Breathnach. The song is called "Dreams" and the video reflects the choice many creative people face - whether one follows one's dreams, or take the easier path.

Mother Nature's Son, directed by Tom Rowley. An innocent pervert is interrupted in his hermetic life by the unexpected visit of an old schoolfriend who he shows around his bizarre home. Mistaking her interest for affection he soon sets out in pursuit of her to both comic and poignant effect.

    The Recipe is as follows...
Preheat the smoking area and lay out tiered seating and bean bags plus giant FREE cups of tea and free hot popcorn.
Add a pinch of music: Films start at 4pm followed by music into the night...
Wash it down with: A drink from the bar anytime all day.

    Relax and enjoy.
