have been trying to find a wedding venue for july '09 - found & loved Lisloughrey lodge in Cong. Has anyone got married or been to a wedding there? Seems very expensive: They charge a 'venue fee of 3500 if you get married on a thur/fri & 5000 if u get married on a sat? This provides u & your guests with exclusive use of the hotel for two das! Is there any way around this fee?? They also charge 12.5% service charge ontop of meal prices?? would be extremelygrateful for any advice or recommendation

It looks gorgeous, they are pretty upfront with their prices so I don't think they'll bargain. Sorry.

Rip off ! If people keep paying it, they'll keep charging it :(

Have a look at Barnabrow House in Cork, same type of venue and much more reasonable :)

    Hi,

We have booked our wedding in Lisloughrey Lodge. Since we paid the deposit, we have heard many bad reports from people who have been at weddings there, so obviously i am STRESSED about having it there now.

Anybody been to a wedding there and actually thought the service was good????
