Anyone else been experiencing what can only be described as An Post bringing a whole new meaning to snail mail lately? For about the past two months (possibly more), in my experience, any post being sent between Dublin and Wexford has been taking absolutely ages to deliver. For example a letter sent from Dublin to Wexford on the 8th of April only arrived today the 16th when it really should have arrived by the 10th-ish.

On top of that a lot of the letters I've recieved have been damaged of completely open when I get them.

Anyone else had any trouble of this sort? It's pretty ridiculous considering it's caused me to miss numerous college interviews and among the post that had been opened were letters from the bank and stuff...

Wouldn't be the first time I'd heard complaints about An Post.

I'd be satisfied if there was an inquest or a crackdown on their operations.

Post staff are refusing to do excessive overtime and it is causing a backlog on certain sorts and deliveries according to something i read in the paper yesterday.

An Post need to hire more people and stop making it appear that the workers are to blame.

The ony way to actually get anything from any company is to openly confront them about it through the means of customer service. If people just post on message boards saying "I'm not happy with it" to let off steam (which is understandable) nothing will be done.
Contact them and voice your concerns, at least you will have logged your complaint, which are generally counted up at the end of the year something may be done. If nobody complains then nothing will be done.

Yes an all too common problem in these days of apathy and malaise Miss LeRack. There tends to be plenty of excuses but fcuk all solutions from the lads in authority in cases like this.

The only thing Pighead can suggest to you in a case like this is to maybe go for some breast reduction surgery.

Yeah was thinking of logging a formal complaint alright, I've missed two or three interviews for college now in the past couple weeks, despite their sending out their letters over two weeks in advance of the date...grr...

As for you Mr. Pighead, there shall be no such thing done my dear, I'm proud of these babies! :p

Or even some breast enlargement surgery and show up at the main offices and see what gets done then. Im sure if you "sell yourself" enough, there'll be people falling over themselves to deliver your letters on time:p
