    Hi Folks,

I have a whack load of documents I want to backup so Im looking for a scanner which has an Automatic Document Feeder (ADF). Would be better off with a printer that has an ADF.

moving because not a windows problem

older ADF's on small devices usually need cleaning as the roller get shiny from coatings on the paper, I prefer ones where the paper is held horizontally , the vertical ones just seem to jam more

getting your hands on an older network one , or maybe you know someone who had a large multifunction at work ,

There's not much around when it comes to consumer ADF scanners, and those that do exist are pretty expensive :(

I'm gonna subscribe to this thread 'cos I'm interested in the same.

    It is what it's.

I have a Brother MFC-9420CN and have it for the last 2 years. I've sold 4 of these and have never had any issues with them. Scanner/Photocopier/Fax with Document feeder and network connection. Its a color laser so they can be expensive (but we dont know the budget so whats expensive to one could be cheap to another person). Personally for the amount of work and value i'm after getting from it, i would highly recommend it.

Would the Canon Pixma Mx310 do the job?:

Even with delivery, it should come in at under €100 because of the weakness of sterling.
