Reverse bench press... thingy

I'm wondering if anyone can help me find a set of the bracket/cup thingies you get with a chin up bar? I've tried ebay but have had no luck so far

I already have a bar and one set of the brackets but I've been reading about how it's a good thing to try and balance the number of pulling and pushing weight exercises you do, so I was thinking of setting the bar low in my doorway and using it to do a kind of pull up/reverse bench press thing.

To any of ye educated folk on boards could you tell me:

Does this idea make sense to anyone?
Does this exercise have a name that doesn't involve the word "thingy"?

    Thanks a million.
