Chorus/NTL commercial advertising

    Hi All,

Just something I've noticed on NTL digital TV.
I used to watch the music channels on my way out to work in the mornings
but over the last few weeks, several of the channels are showing commercial advertisements from 6am-9am. Its typically the same advert all all channels.

I know NTL do not regulate the content on the channels they provide but it seems strange that the same advert should be showing on all the channels affected.

I regard this as a degradation of service. Is there anything that can be done about this?

Short answer is no.The content that is broadcast is outside the control of UPC. If it is an irish based channel then it should be regulated by the Broadcasting Commission of Ireland. But, as most of these channels are U.K. based, the will be regulated by its equivalent (OFCOM., I think). They have strict rules as regards advertising so, I presume, the amount of 'commercial presentations' is compliant.
