    Hello everyone,

I have an Acer 5610 with XP Media Centre version thingy. Now, I'm considering selling it, so I want to make sure I remove all my personal information from it first, so I was going to do a recovery, to bring it back to the state it was when I bought it.

I don't know if I'm missing something, but I have read that I press alt + f10 on boot, but nothing seems to happen when I do this, I keep reading that there is a recovery partition on the acer 5610, so this should work?

If not, and mine is different from everyone elses  anyone know of any other way to recover it? I didn't get any discs with it either

I'm guessing acer isn't a great brand to go for? lol. Anyone able to suggest anything to me?

I think its Ctrl+F11 or F11 on its own when the acer logo appears on turning on the laptop.

    yeah? ok i'll try that tonight. i didn't try f11, only f10.

is it guaranteed that it has a recovery partition on the HDD?
