Due to a number of misleading comments and statements which mis-represent our position the IMC have at a recent meeting decided to issue a statement of clarification which is something we do not normally do particularly on an open forum. Hopefully this will clarify our position and we will NOT be issuing any other statements on this.

We are just a governing body who wish to represent Muaythai in the best possible way we can. We are regulated by the Irish Sports Council and have to apply their standards (not ours) in order to receive Government recognition. If an individual or club has a problem with this, it is beyond our control and they just have to accept it.

The IMC is open to any club or individual, provided they adhere to the rules and regulations ie fighters MUST have yearly medicals and they must hold a boxers licence.

There is NO RESTRICTION on clubs or individuals taking part in ANY other shows as long as they respect and uphold the values of the IMC.

Any show sanctioned by the IMC will ONLY be run with IMC fighers and officials.
Anyone who wishes to become a official with the IMC will be required to go through all standard courses.

Shows can be run with non-IMC fighters on the bill BUT these shows WILL NOT be sanctioned by the IMC.
All IMC fighter and officials will be required to stand by the Irish Council, and the only champion belts regarding Irish titles will be IMC
    IRISH MUAYTHAI CHAMPIONS
one country one muaythai one champion

Anyone interested in any aspect of the IMC can contact us at irishmuaythaicouncil@gmail.com
