Merrion Gate today or yesterday

Did anyone hear anything about what happened around Merrion Gate today?

I heard on Newstalk that apparently to lads got into the argument who had a right of way, and neither of them would budge, so they just stood there blocking the road for 40 minutes, causing awful tailbacks. Couldn't find anything about it.

It was supposed to happen around 11 this morning, or maybe yesterday, didn't catch the beginning.

It was a small accident, superficial damage to both cars.

The authorities were called, took 45 minutes to get there. In the meanwhile neither would budge until official statements were taken from the authorities as both claimed to be in the right.

They should have known better and moved their cars to the side, not before taking some photos, but sure such is the way with insurance claims.

That info was from a Garda press office statement Hook read out on Monday evening on Newstalk.
