he Leinster squad to face Edinburgh in Friday night's Magners League clash in Murrayfield has been named.
The league leaders again include captain Brian O'Driscoll and a decision on his availability will be made when the team is announced on Thursday lunchtime.

Following his 18-point haul in the 21-12 victory over Munster, Felipe Contepomi is now just 19 points away from reaching the 1,000-point mark for the province in 93 Heineken Cup and Magners League appearances.

The 30-year-old Argentina international contributed six penalties last weekend and is in second place in this year's Magners League rankings (107 points), 16 points behind Glasgow's Dan Parks.

In all, the Leinster panel includes 12 Ireland Senior and six Ireland 'A' internationals. Bernard Jackman, last weekend's man of the match, is one of seven Ireland forwards in the extended panel.

The team are expected to be boosted by several hundred travelling supporters to the Scottish capital for the Magners League showdown.

    Leinster squad to face Edinburgh

FORWARDS: Cian Healy, Ollie le Roux, Brian Blaney, Bernard Jackman, Stephen Knoop, Stan Wright, Leo Cullen, Trevor Hogan, Malcolm O'Kelly, Cameron Jowitt, Stephen Keogh, Keith Gleeson, Shane Jennings, Jamie Heaslip

BACKS: Chris Keane, Chris Whitaker, Felipe Contepomi, Jonathan Sexton, Luke Fitzgerald, Rob Kearney, Michael Berne, Christian Warner, Brian O'Driscoll, Eoin O'Malley, Gary Brown, Shane Horgan, Girvan Dempsey

REFEREE: Nigel Owens (WRU), SUB REFEREE: Rob Dickson (SRU), TOUCH JUDGE: David Anderson (SRU), TMO: Iain Ramage (SRU)

I think there should be a good few going over, several hundred would equate to half the crowd in Murrayfield also :p

I will probably go, but I live in Glasgow so it is not that far :) I was in Edinburgh for work a few years ago, when it went down to the last day with both Leinster and Ulster going for the title. There seemed to be a decent amount of Leinster fans around Edinburgh after that game, I imagine it will be same this time.

Looking forward to the match . A potential banana skin for us. I think we need a bonus point win to win the league ...:)

I don't think we'll slip up tbh. I'd hope we start the same team again, and even if we win with a bonus point I don't think we'll officially win the league yet, no matter what happens in the other games as we play on the Friday and Cardiff and Munster play on Saturday (and Munster again on the Wednesday or something?) but anyway, no matter what, if we're going to win it, the trophy wont be able to be presented to the team until the home game vs Dragons, unless it goes down to the last game. If you haven't already, make sure you get your tickets now as they will sell out fast. Can be bought at ticket master from €20 in North and South stands.

We'll pack the place out again to bring the trophy home, cant wait :)
