    Hello,

Well I is at that stage now.

I am going to use a product called,

Grace Bituthene 4000. I've 105sq meters to do and I'll be using a 50mm over lap with 100mm over lap on top of the walls.

Anybody used this before? Is it any good?

Also, any help or tips for protecting it before I tip in the land fill. I know i've to use insulation boards but any tips would be great.

    Thanks for any help.

I have been involved in concrete basement construction for many years and if installed correctly this is the best product on the market for preventing damp / water penitration.

Like all products you have to make sure its installed correctly. It is one of the more expensive products but the one I would always use. There are similar less expensive products on the market like voltex.

Make sure there is also a waterbar used in the kicker of the basement wall where the wall meets the floor slab as this is the weakest point; grace also make these items.

    cheers for that.

Well I got a very experience fitter to but it on. Looked like a tuff job, like wallpapering with plastic and oil!

I'll look into that waterbar. Thanks again.
