Is it a common thing to get gifts for the groomsmen? If so i presume small gifts like an engraved hipflask and cuffs would be grand...or should you spend more? any ideas\opinions?

I'm only having a Best man, but i intend to buy him a good bottle of whiskey.

For the guys who have already gotten married, when did you present the gift, was it during the reception or before/after the day?

What do you expect to get from your groomsman?
I have most commonly seen them present gifts during the speeches.
    I personally wouldn't like that.
