"Faulty " Fuel Gauge

    Hello Everybody,

I was wondering if anybody out there knows much about fuel gauges on a motorhome.

When I fill it up, it appears to work properly but once the amount of fuel gets down to about half way ,the guage seems to stop working i.e. it doesn't read below half a tank which obviously can be very misleading.

Is there anything else that may be wrong as a new gauge is very expensive and I am not convinced that's what's actually needed anyway.

    Regards,

    Chevy RV

My van is similar. The gauge is wrong, a quarter of a tank= empty. whn its filled up to the max it will stay there for ages. One day I just drove it till it ran out of diesel and now I know exactly where the empty point is. I wouldn't bother spending the money to get it fixed.

OUrs is similar and like Kenn Sprinter it is not worth getting fixed. Let it completely run out once and you will know where abouts it is again. For the first while anyway carry a petrol can too but you will get used to it :-)
