Hey guys, just wondering where would I get the small watch style battery in Cork, would normal camera shops do or is there somewhere else I should be loooking.

    20D to be specific.

(I hope this is the reason my camera won't turn on)

I'd say a camera shop should stock them, the ones in Galway stock a small selection of batteries (although I haven't had to buy one myself yet), Boots also have a fairly decent selection. Failing those, online's your best bet - I ordered some specialist batteries from a London battery specialist company (http://www.smallbattery.company.org.uk/index.htm) yesterday but I'm sure supplies for a 20D are pretty widely available.

Yeah most camera shops and jewellers/watch shops seem to do them.
Camera shops were much cheaper though, about half the price of the jewelers.

Camera World in Oliver Plunkett Street should do the trick (Top end by Grand Parade). I find them very helpful & they know their stuff.

I'd be a bit concerned about your camera. A fully charged battery (normal battery) should be enough power for your camera. That small battery is only to keep power for the clock and settings.

Hopefully everything will be ok though.

Pharmacists, for some reason, seem to stock a wide range of batteries.......the mind boggles.

The pharmacy on the grand parade stocks a mighty range of batteries.
I've found jewellers to be the most expensive place to buy batteries.

Well it's gotten a salt bath twice and every now and again freezes up for no apparent reason, but it seems to be working now, so I'm happy for the moment.

    Cheers for all the replies.
