    Hi Guys
Im just wondering is there a general guideline yearly/monthly percentage rate for depreciation on a used car?Car in question is a 2003 Accord Euro R that im currently importing.

Ive been checking the Vrt site since january and the vehicles vrt rate seems to have risen in feb and stayed put since. The car wont be here for another month or so but basically im getting ready to appeal the vrt seen as the car is magically appreciating in value.

So im basically looking for a rough percentage of depreciation of what i can quote them when sending an appeal.

In saying that it may well drop before the car lands here but i just have a funny feeling its going to rise again.

    Cheers

I'd imagine it will be difficult enough to calculate the depreciation on that particular model as it was never offically sold here when new. Not even sure how the VRO come to calculate the OMSP on these models if they have no reference to go on. Can only imagine it will not be in your favour though.

Best of luck with your appeal though.

The only thing i can think of is they calculate it against a simular uk spec accord, possibly the type s as there rates are practically the same (Type S €4303 vs Euro R €4305 currently)

Or they just pull a figure out of the sky and mulitply it by 2.
