    Hi.
I have a premier paypal account and I only accept paypal payments for items i sell on Ebay.
I understand a premier account can receive payments from Credit cards as well as from paypal funds.

However i see there is a fee for receiving payments from buyers who use a credit card.
But does that include buyers who pay via paypal but fund the paypal payment with a CC.

    Any advice appreciated.
    Thanks.

I think the fee is the same for card funded payments and non-card funded payments. They used to be different, but I think Paypal changed that a few years back. There is a fee for receiving and and all money with Paypal now.

    Thanks.
I thought receiving payments directly from paypal funds were free of charge.
And any CC-funded payments had a charge.

Paypal's terms seem to change from time to time, and it's damn near impossible to find a straight answer to anything on their website, but I did get this:
    Question :
If I don't want to pay the extra fees to accept credit cards payments, can I offer other payment methods through PayPal?

    Answer :
Yes. To avoid paying fees for receiving credit or debit card payments through PayPal, you must use a PayPal Personal account to list items for sale on eBay. With a Personal account you can accept PayPal account balances and bank account payments with no fees.

However, if you receive a credit or debit card payment from a buyer on eBay using a Personal account, you must upgrade to a Premier or Business account to accept the payment. PayPal charges Premier and Business accounts a small fee to receive payments based on their monthly payment volume. For more information, click the Fees link at the bottom of any PayPal page.

Personal accounts can accept a limited number of credit or debit card payments per year and are assessed a transaction fee. For more information, see our fee schedule. To view your Personal account limit, log in to your account and click the View Limits link.

So, if you have a personal account, you can receive funds from someone else's Paypal funds without paying fees. You won't be able to receive payments from personal accounts that try to pay with a card and you will only be able to receive limited payments from premier/business accounts using a card. Overall, far to limited to consider using with something like eBay.

When you upgrade to Premier, you're charged for everything you receive.
