I mean does it really have to be "special" like why cant I just do it and have no regrets rather than having to wait for the "one" cuz that could be years whereas I could just do it Tuesday 0 -

Just do whatever feels good for you! My first time was with my BF, who I'm still with 5 years later, whereas my best friend's was a one night stand with a guy who she never saw again, but she has absolutely no regrets! She was happier to do it that way rather than have a load of build up to the event and possibly end up dissappointed!0 -

I agree with a lot of your points Dudess but 'It's only sex' doesn't / shouldn't really apply when it's the first time. I think it has to be special to a certain extent, or at least the person you're doing it with has to be special (at the time of course, I know we all grow up and move on).
Cheeky, the vibe I'm getting from you is that you just want to get the first time out of the way - you should try and have a different perspective than that, wait until it's somebody you are totally mad about and comfortable with (btw that doesn't mean they are 'the one' by any stretch and you may not meet 'the one' for a long time, but you can still have sex in the interim, and there are decent fellers out there if you go looking:D)
Many years ago I had the 'get it out of the way' perpective and acted on it. Although the guy was special to me at the time we did rush into it and it was pretty awful to say the least:eek:. We broke up (correction, he dumped me!) pretty soon afterwards and I was devastated. But then I met the man who is now my husband and we are together 13 years (married for 6) and things have been pretty special since then!;)0 -
