I have this violin that I got from my Grandad when he died, and he got it from his mother, so I'm told its over 100 years old. I'm looking to get it valued, but I don't know where to be honest. Somewhere in the Clare/ Limerick region would be very much ideal.

By the way, I've googled the brand but can't find anything on it at all.

Does it begin with "Stradi" and end with "varius" ? :p

I'd say a big antique auction house would have someone who deals with musical instruments.

Ah, if you were in Dublin I'd say to go to Charles Byrne Musik Instrumente but I guess not. Maybe you could take a trip up to Dublin?
