http://www.partfinder.ie Part Finder the car parts search website is a brand new website for searching for car parts.

The subscribed dismantlers upload the cars they have in stock.

All you have to do is simply search for your car make & model and the site will show you which breakers yard has it!!

As the website grows, the database of cars and the amount of breakers will also grow, so please have patience. Official launch date of the site is June 2008.

All and any feedback welcome :)

What sort of part is "Electrical"?

Did a few searches....no audi tt parts, 3 5 or 7 series parts, and any parts I did find were all in limerick. Think the data base needs some work.

Like I said, it's a brand new service, hence the limited number of results in searches in these early days.

But... it's open for free trial to any car dismantlers anywhere in the country who wish to put cars up until June 2008. Just get in touch through the website, or sign up and we'll add your car dismantling business to the service.

It was started because, I for one was sick and tired of ringing around yards trying to find out who had my particular car in stock.

    Thanks guys,

something I thought about doing before too for the same reasons, I think the trick will be keeping your stock list up to date, in all fairness the dismantlers prob aren't the most up to date technology wise so if there was some way you can make it easy for them to regularly update you may be onto a winner. Similiar site in UK can't think of name offhand but works quite well (anytime i've used it).

Well done for taking the initiative, good luck with it, but try to get stock in there soon before people lose interest;)
