Here's a small selection from last night in Inishowen.

I reckon that this stack was 100 feet high and the waves were crashing right over it.

    C+C Very welcome as always.

    Great shots!
The last one is gorgeous! Really beautiful colours and composition.
Although I think that if the cliffs could be brought forward a bit through maybe contrast adjustment/levels it would make it even more special.

although number 3 is probably the most aesthetically pleasing with the sunset colours in the sky and the softened water, my favourite here would be the first one. You really get a feeling of the power of the waves from this one, especially in the foreground.

    Thank you everyone,

Noopti, yes I agree that this one has a bit more potential. I'm going to have another play.

Cambo, the first was shot at 1/350 seconds, the last at 3 seconds. I love playing with shutter speed at the coast. As you say, the feelings that you want to communicate can be controlled through the choice of shutter speed. The scond one was actually shot at 1/2000th of a second at F4 on a 70mm lens. Not your typical landscape shot.

I like the power of the waves in number 2 the best, but they are all good.

    Nice work, Andy.
I prefer the 3rd one, simply because of the colours.
