    Hi,

I had a meeting with my boss (I work for a financial Institution). I want them to pay for my MSc and I proposed the topic: Data Mining for Money Laundering Patterns.

He thinks it's a good idea but wants me to send a memo saying exactly what's in it for them. He says that they can get away with covering themselves by doing the bare minimum that the law expects and I can't really argue much against that.

Anybody got any reasons why it would be good for a financial institution to sponsor research on Anti Money Laundering? I would appreciate any thoughts.

    Thanks

    GF

This is standard for any course you are doing, he just wants something he can give to HR to keep them happy :D

I'd say 1/2 a page, include what's covered on the course (cut and copy ;) ) and how you feel it would befit them...

you could also throw in a few facts and figures about the amount of money laundered per year in ireland ect...
