    Hi guys,

    hoping to get married in Italy but it probably won't be until 2010.

    The problem is we don't know where!!! There are loads of gorgeous places all along the coast and then there are places like tuscany that are very appealing!!!

    It'll be a young enough crowd going ie. average age around 28/29 at the time!! there'll also be older relations.

    We want somewhere that'll suit everyone and that'll be entertaining at night time for our guests!!!

    Any suggestions are welcome!!!

    we're getting married in Tuscany next month.

    organising the whole thing through ;

    I would definitely recommend using a planner because there's a lot to arrange and its very difficult trying to do it on your own.

    We're also getting married in Italy, this August. Look at Villa San Crispolto and Villa Baroncino. They are based close to Passignano sul Trasimeno which is a tourist spot but for horse trekking and water sports so loads of bars and restaurants without being in anyway Playa del Ingles ;) Look them up Marco the guy who owns them is great.

    youngfella,

    just got back from Rome ourselves, got married just over a week ago. It was fantastic, we had about 55 people over, married in a lovely church called San Silvestro in Capite. The whole thing was brilliant from start to finish and not too much hassle to organise. We had an Irish photographer (http://www.shpfoto.com), who is based in Italy, a reception for everyone at a Hotel that was amazing and a great great band (http://www.weddingbanditaly.com) that got everyone up dancing...

    We then went from Rome to Sorrento for the honeymoon, which was deadly too..

    If you want any more details give me a shout...

    When we were in Amalfi last summer we went to Positano for a day and we saw two pairs of bride & grooms at different parts of the village. It's a lovely place so maybe try there too!

    lol yeah its an amazing location. the convent(villa) actually has a small church inside the grounds. would be brilliant for the actual ceremony, but unfortunatly, nobody is allowed to use it. vatican red tape. we wrote letters to ask permission, but no joy. the church we are using is just 2 mions away from that place and that itself is small, but gorgeous. i would recommend Gradara to anyone who is planning to get married in italy
