I bought my Bush 26" TV about 1 1/2 years ago, since i got it ive been using it with my mac mini. And within the past month everytime i turn on the tv aload of lines (static or electronic interference) come up on the screen. It goes away after a few minutes. I was using a DVI-VGA cable then i got a DVi-HDMi and not change. This doesnt happen however when im using my xbox or wii. Any idea why this might be happening is it the TV or the mac?

    Hi Handels

You using an xbox elite to the HDMI or a premium with vga cable? I bought a 32" samsung with my 360 and go a free upscaling dvd hdmi based player with it, within 2 months the hdmi port on the back was shagged, can't use it anymore, exhibiting lines like you said and blue screens, not sure if it's that but I'd always go for vga as the HDMI has no screw in support.

Have installed a few minis out there into boardrooms with displayconfigX on plasmas/lcds all running via vga, no problems.

Thanks for the reply nialler, im using a component cable for the premium xbox. Im thinking its the tv since im having the problem regardless of hdmi/vga. Im gonna try it on a different tv and try a different computer on my tv.

I get the same thing happening on my set up. I connected my mac mini 2 ghz core 2 duo to a Samsung le22s86 22 inch LCD televison with a DVI to HDMI cable and get interference and small blue vertical lines in the whitespace. The cable I bought was supposed to be good quality. I would be interested if anyone has resolved this.
