Control sky digibox with Samsung remote

My sky remote is dodgy - the red button and the 4 key don't work anymore. 4 isn't a problem but red is - especially with the Master's starting today and BBC's excellent digital coverage. Problem is that I can't seem to get the Samsung LCD TV remote to control the Digibox. The only code I can find is 013 but that doesn't do it on either STB or Cable mode. Would anyone know any other codes that I could try without having to go out and get a new Sky remote.

You cannot make your tv remote control your digibox...you can only make your sky remote control your samsung tv....usually code 0646 0r 0060 works

It appears you can. The online help talks about codes for controlling the sky digibox and does provide one that doesn't work for my model. It's a PACE digibox.

2 possibilities that spring immediately to mind.

1 - The Samsung remote is purely for the TV and the remote code they refer to in the manual is for the digibox remote to control the Samsung

2 - The Samsung remote supplied is a multiremote, but only has limited control of the digibox.
Some multiremotes allow you enter channel numbers but dont have all the specialised functions.
It doesnt matter what make digibox you have, they all have the same remote. SkyPlus is different to Sky. Perhaps the code you see is for the Sky+

It is possible to get a Sky remote replacement or equivalent for under €15, some models may even have your Samsung built in. This you will have to check as many new LCD TVs are not included yet.
Even some of the €2 cheapo ones have some Sky capability but key allocation is often random and intuitively unuseable.

It's a multiremote alright. And there's a different code for Sky+. I'll probably just take the plunge and get a new remote. I don't mind using 2 anyway. Well 3 - another for the XBox for streaming :D Suppose some place like Dixons etc is best?

Generally Dixons and best arent 2 words I'd use together but they do have a selection. I remember seeing one, could have been there, or Peats/Maplin/? for around 10, looked similar just a bit smaller.
Argos have a few different varieties starting at 15.
