No 225/40/18 is ur max i thinks,

    7 x 18 - 215/40/18
    7.5 x 18 - 225/40/18 + 215/40/18
    7 x 17" - 225/45/17 + 205/50/17 + 215/45/17

I might be wrong but is 40 profile not high enough?
I have 35's on my focus and havent had any problems

    Well lads,

Ive ordered a set of 18" on 225 40 tyres to fit my Seat Leon, how does it drive with yours on bungholio?

I had some problems with the tires been very slippery in the wet weather when i first got them, this has since dissapeared. But even running 215/35/18, I dont think a 225 fits on mine in a 18" on a HB Focus, I have no problems whatsoever, speed bumps are fine, obviously I try to avoid potholes, as you would with any 18" tyre. But i find general handling has improved substantially over my previous ones. I have to VRT my car + nct, then I will be fitting 35mm lowering springs, as I am unsure whether it would pass the nct with lowering springs on. I just hope when I finally do get to fir these springs that they are not to low.

    Has anyone 18" tyres on a focus with a 35mm drop?. Mk1
