Official GTAIV PS3 Bundle coming April 29?

It looks that way. More and more retailers are confirming it, most recently in Britain.

"We know for a fact it is coming out in Europe and we are expecting an announcement in the UK any time," confirmed Igor Cipolletta, COO of Shopto.com.

"We are not sure if Gem or Centresoft are distributing it yet, that seems to be the hold up," he added.

The bundle has a RRP of GBP 299 and will go on sale the same day as the release of the highly-anticipated Rockstar game.

299 is a great price for Britain (and with the way the pound is, that's only about €370), but I'm guessing it might be the same price as the GT5 bundle here.

It's not for sure that we'll get a MGS4 bundle, but it wouldn't be surprising.

Maybe the US will get the MGS4 bundle and we'll get the GTA4 one.

Not that it makes a huge difference. Getting either bundle + the other game will probably work out at around the same cost anyway.

the MGS bundle is rumoured to have an 80gig hard drive and some sort of backwards compatiblity.

Whatever about wanting to play the PS2 games for the first while, who would want to play the games a year after the PS3 hit the shelves??. Like when was the last time a decent game even came out on it?. Only been kids games(as was the PS1 when the PS2 came out since only kids buy them when a newer console comes out) brough out over the past year really!!.

I got a loan of GTA vice City a few weeks ago thinking it would be fun to play and ended up knocking it off after 5mins....

It's a nice bundle imo. Perfect for people with no next-gen console that want one for GTA IV. It means they get the console and the game (which might be hard to get on their own). Surprised MicroSoft aren't doing a similar bundle.

i'm lucky i got a 60gig ps3 as i hadn't played MGS3 or DMC1-3 and i don't have a ps2 anymore, i plan to play them all before i play MGS4 and DMC4.

Not all of them. In the US there'll be the regular 80GB bundle and then a very limited edition gun-metal grey version.

It's probable any MGS4 bundle would come with a dualshock 3 too.

But it'll also be more expensive than this bundle. In the end, getting this bundle + a dualshock 3 later will probably work out at around the same price or less than a MGS4 bundle.

So I suppose it comes down to whether you prefer the extra HDD space and software PS2 BC, or the extra couple of months with GTAIV from day one.
