Carry Cases

Since you forum regulars here seem to have airsoft omniscience, I thought I'd hit you guys with a question:

Where can I get a case like this?


I've been browsing MIA, AE and Eirsoft; they only seem to have carrying bags, whereas I want an ABS case with foam inside.

I've got a UMP, so the exact same size would be fine (around 75cm). I'd really prefer something from Ireland, because I want to support the local retailers here and I want to avoid shipping issues and customs annoyances.

Maplins do aluminium flight cases.

Seems to be where folk are getting them. That UMP really does look nice in that case!

yep i got the maplin ones and theres modular foam in them thats easy to tear out in whatever shape ya need. if you want something really good lemming could point you in the right direction, he got one with laser cut foam to fit the gun perfectly., "flashingbluelite" has one ordered too so you could ask him what his is like when it arrives.,

Unfortunately Maplins won't have them in stock for around a month.

Apparently the pictured case comes with the Star UMP, which is a nice touch. I wonder if it's available separately? I couldn't find anything with Google though.

I also found these nice looking aluminium ones, but they don't ship outside the UK. Damn it.

try any of the music shops that sell DJ equipment too, my bro's use them for CDs, laptops, mixers etc.,

Not cheap, but then again ... lifetime guaruanteed so that should say something for you. The company that are the local reseller are based in Dun Laoighaire (well, their showroom is) and they're well used to airsoft kit by now.

Zeroone have a large selection of hard cases and bags. Their case's are similar to the pelicase.. and they do ready cut foam cases for the Glock 17, 92F and Hi Capa...

MIA can get them, they are looking into getting ones with foam already custom cut for particular guns too.

(Saw them in a catalog they were researching)

I've got a couple of those Mapling ones, they're not bad. Doubt they'd fit a UMP though, I barely got mine to fit the MP7.

Peli cases are excellent units. Pricey, but as with the Storm cases Lemming mentioned, you get what you pay for. We use them with aircraft parts worth tens of thousands of dollars and they're widely used by the military so I'm sure they'd handle an AEG or two. You often see a few of them going on Ebay. Though if you go through a regular supplier for them you can even get them to shadowboard your rifle into the case.

Agreed, the Maplin cases will not fit an UMP. I have one for my Mp7 and M9, though the Mp7 is still not working.:mad:

i have the maplin ones too, it takes 2 M9s and 2 Glocks in one side, then i can turn the foam over and put and MP5k in there with 2mags and accessories,.,

you will find it hard to beat the price quality and practicallity of a good guitar case.

That looks like a star UMP. We had them in stock a while back and that is the actual case that came with the AEG as standard. The build quality of the case was unreal, really solid and sturdy; you could dance on it if you wanted!! Wouldn’t be a problem
Not sure if you can buy them separately though.
We looked around and couldn’t find them.

Zeroone sell Star cases, the manufactuer of the UMP with the case.. Might be the same ones...

got this delivered last week, what a case. cost me $29.99 + $36.00 shipping - all in cost me about €46.00. From order to delivered 1 week.

Ah cool, still meaning to buy one myself. So does it seem solid enough anyway?

its good. has four good snap catches on it and a loop hole so you can attach a lock to it, hinges are good. i will be using it mainly for storage but i'd say it is tough enough for transport etc. comes lined with the foam.
Great price, super service, could fault them.
