Hank Shocklee
World-renowned industry leader and producer Hank Shocklee is currently
producing several music and film projects including the futuristic, live electronics
explosive debut album by the Bomb Squad alongside Keith Shocklee. Shocklee
also recently contributed his talents to the score and soundtrack of the Ridley Scott
Film American Gangster and has other upcoming projects including
Shocktronica, a multi-layered electronic sci-fi audio/visual experience.
Best known for his eclectic, innovative production style, founding the group Public
Enemy and the production team the Bomb Squad, Shocklee is behind some of
the most significant music and film projects of the last two decades including P.E.’s
It Takes A Nation of Millions To Hold Us Back and also Ice Cube’s
AmeriKKKa's Most Wanted, albums which regularly rank as two of the greatest
and influential recordings of all time in various publications such as Rolling Stone
and Spin,
As a producer, composer and industry executive (former Universal Records Senior
Vice President) Shocklee has worked with a wide range of artists that includes:
Mary J. Blige, Anthony Hamilton, Ice Cube, Madonna, Janet Jackson, Peter
Gabriel, Slick Rick, LL Cool J, Bell Biv Devoe, Run DMC, Patti LaBelle, K-Ci &
JoJo, & Gladys Knight.
Hank Shocklee is also the president of new media company, Shocklee
Entertainment and of the online Music_Film_Media creative network

Shocklee has garnered a collection of Platinum and Multi-Platinum albums as well as 14
Grammy Nominations and numerous Soul Train Awards. He has also been the
recipient of a Sony Innovators Award and an Apex Creative Engineer Award.

during his career.
