I'm sitting here listening to Jeff's new theme and thinking to back to being at Wrestlemania 24.

And all I can help think about is what would have happened if Jeff had participated in MITB. What an incredible moment it would have been if he had won MITB and cashed in straight after Orton successfully defended against Cena and HHH, and actually won it. What a payoff for the year he had!

    Alas, no...

i reckon he would have won the MITB match, but i don't think hewould have cashed it right away. I think he would have gone into a program with Jericho for a while, as Punk may be doing now.

I don't think Jeff is established enough to cash in a MITB straight after a Wrestlemania main event. However, had Edge not been the main event and won the MITB, I would think it very plausible for him to cash it in that night.

There are some flaws in it I guess but that would have worked for me. The crowd would have ate it up.

Although I love the guy, and he's known as the ultimate opportunist, I think that would really be repetitive television viewing, considering he's already cashed in two MITB's. Having someone cash it in the same night they won it at mania would be brilliant, and it will happen at some point, but not with Edge I hope, I wouldn’t like to see him do that. I’d like to see them come up with a new type of "opportunity" for him in the future though. It's a way off yet, but i'd love to see him win a Rumble, as he never has, and they could come up with a good way for him to steal it at the end and get a Mania title shot maybe.

^ I agree I wouldn't like to see Edge do it either. I was just making the point that if he were to cash it it at Mania it wouldn't be that crazy cause he's fairly extablished. I mean if were to talk about the people that we would wish to see cash it in on the night (even though it wouldn't plausible) I would deffo like to see Jeff do it alright.

I think Orton might cash it in on the same night at WM 25 and lose to Cena so the fans get two main event matches in the one night.

It would be a good way to have Taker lose his streak IMO

Huh? Are you suggesting Taker shoud lose his streak to the guy he beat at WM 21? If Taker is to lose his streak (WHICH HE SHOULD NEVER BY THE WAY!) it should to be a complete up and comer, a CM Punk or, even as the thread suggests, Jeff Hardy.

Randy Orton? What is to be garnished from that? Seriously.

Randy Orton is the legend killer for one so beating Taker would make sense. Secondly, it wouldn't hurt Taker because Randy is big enough to pull off an upset. Thirdly, Randy is younger than both CM and Hardy, he'd get more out of it. Also, I think the fans would give Orton alot more time if he did take the streak

Firstly, I think if Taker were to lose the streak, it should be as his final match. That would be a fitting way to go. Secondly, who gets the honour of getting that victory over the dead man? I see CM Punk mentioned above and to be honest, the way he is right now suggests to me that he would never be the guy to get a win that big. Even with his MITB briefcase, I still can't picture CM becoming either WWE or World Heavyweight Champ anytime soon. Jeff actually would be a good pick in my mind. He's not fantastic on the mic as we all know and gains more popularity through his in-ring work so a win over Taker at Mania would be another fantastic boost to the rainbow haired warriors career. In saying all that though, I'm pretty sure Taker would have a say on who gets to end his streak/retire him and he probably wouldn't have Jeff on the top of his list.

I'm all for the passing of the torch, but i think the Undertaker should and will retire with the streak intact. I just think it's the one unique accolade that McMahon can give him, as he's possibly the most loyal and one of the longest serving employees (I know there's been times when this has meant SFA to McMahon, but he seems to have a real understanding with Calloway).
