I was driving up towards kildare on the M7 when i past a garda car pulled in behind a ditch and a female garda leaning against the door with what looked like a speed gun pointed in the direction i came from. I am wondering, does this equipment have the function to take a photo of me?

And also if i do receive notice in the post, what evidence do i have the right to request?
