The new July pricing ( Car Configurator) is now on the BMW website. You have to select the "car configurtator" tab......bedside "find a dealer"

Under the new system, automatic transmission on a 320d is now a €5k extra.

So it appears the price of extras also changes depending on the cars VRT rate, is that correct ?

Nope! 180 odd on road tax, and 300BHP once you get a Hartge remap

    300 bhp :eek:jepus!

how is that possible? i realise its a detuned 330d but still, thats more than the 335d

and quicker than the e46 m3 in a lot of scenarios too id say?

    are you seriously considering?

first dibs on the chs :o

Its more like 289 or something - but close enough not to make a difference. Its a two stage remap, first stage brings it up to the 330d power, second stage adds a little extra :)

Won't be going near one for at least 18 months - want to buy a seocnd house and pay for a wedding first!

Edit - sorry, its 271! Would still do me...

Engine conversion by ECU modification *
    for 325d (based on 145 kW / 197 hp)
    199 kW (271 hp) / 4000 rpm 591 Nm (lb-ft 436) / 2000 rpm

    me too :o

need to propose first tho :D

its this bit that makes the difference

    199 kW (271 hp) / 4000 rpm 591 Nm (lb-ft 436) / 2000 rpm

    318d ES Saloon = 16% VRT = €38,205.61
    318i ES Saloon = 20% VRT = €36,366.46

    325d MSport Coupé = 20% VRT = €56,721.89
    325i MSport Coupé = 20% VRT = €58,674.68

Differences are not as drastic as I thought!

not between bmw petrol and diesel as they are all low emissions, but big difference in their tax and vrt rates for both petrol and diesel and everyone else!

I don't think €290 as opposed to €150 or €430 versus €290 is a massive difference! Put an Automatic gearbox onto a BMW and the petrol and diesels are once again in the same VRT and road tax category.

It's definetley a pity that the 320i was pipped by one Co2 to move into next VRT bracket 155 cut off and it produces 156...in auto. spec:(
Maybe they will work on this, tippex and the like (as they, release the figures)
