    on the dell website gonna order an m1330. under tab number 2. (accesorise my dell), i have an option for power supplies;

    65W AC Adapter [Included in Price]

    AC Adapter 90W - 3 Pin add € 0.00

    theyre both included in the price individually. I woulda guessed go with the three pin. (duuur). but why then is the other one set as default. is the 65W one three pin aswell?....wats the story?

    The 65watt one is neater (smaller/lighter) and sufficient to run the laptop. However, I presume it's a 2-pin PSU.....not the bit that goes into the wall, but the actual brick itself. Because the M1330 has a aluminium (or something) case, small static charges will build up on it, and without a ground, they have nowhere to go. So you might feel a (very slight) static sensation every now and then. It's not a 'shock'.

    The 90-watt is 3-pin, so there IS a ground connection going from the laptop to the ground pin on your wall socket. So there won't be any static build up as described above. On the flip side, it's bigger and heavier than the 65 watt.

    The 90w ac adapter should charge the battery quicker too. It's not much bigger than a 65w.
