Can anybody recommend a maker of real handmade chocolates, preferably in the West ?
So I'm not talking Lily O'Brien's etc which are mass producers. I'm looking for a lovely small scale craft producer, whose chocs are gorgeous and which are nicely packaged and presented. Thanks.

I know it's not the west but there's a woman in Waterford that makes lovely handmade chocolates, I've sampled some of her chocolates and they're divine. She goes to some of the local markets and the packaging is nice. I think her trade name is Theodora's or something like that. I'll check the newspaper for her correct name as I know she's attending the Dungarvan Food Festival this weekend.

Thanks Deisemum. Look forward to details. Pity about last Sunday, but it's the All Ireland that matters ...

lol, if only sure we can live in hope even though I'm a Galway woman that's been led astray by a deiseman.

I'll have a look and see if I can get this woman's details for you but it might be later today before I get back on here.

Thanks for the help - that's plenty of choice from the other site.
Not sure if I want to call you lovely jovly, doodles or Colette, just in case my wife sees this ...
    Regards.

I found gorgeous handmade chocs in Leitrim.
They're from Cannaboe Confectionery in Ballinamore and they're tasty.
    They have a website cacamilis.com.
Thanks to everyone who helped out.
