1982 SL 500 Amg??

    Haven't seen any of these before. Really nice looking car but was there such a beast. It says that it is badged as a 560 but afaik these were only sold in the US but the car is RHD.

    Still would like it tho.

    That's sex on wheels, but €1491 road tax followed by scary insurance, and about 15mpg...

    I still want it...

    Classic insurance will sort that for you.
    Cover & park for a few years and classic tax will kick in.
    Sure is a tempting car:cool:, would definetly go after had I no already purchased a weekend toy(s).

    The AMG factory was independantly owned at the time, so you could basically order a car with parts fitted afterwards, or order from AMG for a complete car. The latter would probably be worth a small premium assuming it had an AMG indentity plate.

    The 560SL's were produced in RHD fro the Australian market also.

    That car has been for sale for quite some time, I reckon they are asking too much !

    Do you reckon that's too much? It seems like a lot of car for the money...

    I don't know much about Merc values, but I am sorely tempted!
