me and a friend are going to czech republic in the first week on october. we are hoping to go from sunday to sunday. we intend to stay in prague from sunday to wedensday, and they are going to oponchno to meet up with friends and go to a falconry meet till sunday. We are looking somewhere cheap to stay, safe, in a nice area and nightlife for people at the age of 20-25. also during the start of the week does the pubs and clubs be empty? compared with the weekends?
    thanks

i was in prague for paddys weekend wit my boyfriend, so it wasnt a mad session but more of a few days of sightseeing etc.. we stayed at corinthia panorama, which is only a 5-10 min journey outside of the city centre. .the hotel is 4 star and amazing!!1 was quite impressed with it. the view from the rooms isnt all that much seen as its located in the business ares and surrounded by ugly apts and offices.. we paid 47euro a night for the hotel for a double room, including breakfast!!its 100% safe, and there are safes in the rooms.. sorry i cnt tell you anything about the nightlife. however, there are a few irish bars- we were in one of them ..eemmmm.. the shamrock i think it was called, if you go to the national musuem/get off the metro at musuem , you should have no prob finding it!

I was in Prague last week for 3 days with my mother and it's a lovely city but whatever you do, please do not stay in the same hotel as we did, it was very poor, terrible breakfast and full of school tours! Hotel is called the Hotel Pyrimad and it's about 10 minutes outside Prague on the tram line. The staff in the hotel were pig ignorant as well, they all looked like Shirley Temple Bar drag queen types!! Didn't get to sample much nightlife as my mother isn't really a pub/club type mammy! I have heard from friends though that nightlife is meant to be really good over there around the wenceslas square area.
    Have a great holiday!!:D
