Pressure cooker - Want to buy one

I've been looking online and in the shops at various pressure cookers and want to buy one. I'm planning on getting one with at least 6L capacity but I've noticed a huge difference in the prices between brands.

Any advice on what brands would be good? Or if you have one yourself and are happy with it in terms of ease-of-use, dishwasher safe, cooking times, accessories (steam basket) etc. then let me know :)

I would recommend Prestige. They do an Aluminium (which some people won't use) and Stainless Steel. They are good for spare parts, the rubber ring will need to be replaced eventually. They make several different sizes, but they have 5.5l or 6.5l. I have never seen one of these returned faulty, in years of selling them, which is unusual for any product!

Sorry for the hijack r3nu4l but does anyone know where you can get large pressure cookers? The mother's been looking for one for a while now since her 18+ year old one finally gave out. She's looking for one with around 10 litre capacity, does anyone know if you can buy these anywhere around dublin?

Prestige do make a 10l, it may not be in regular stock though. Ask your local Prestige stockist to order one in for you.

Thanks Sueme. She'll probably have to get one ordered in so, she's tried everywhere for one but they usually only have 6 or 7 liters in stock.

You're right, it's a great time for buying stuff online, although a pressure cooker will cost quite a bit to send in the post it'd imagine. Still, I'll have a look around and see what I can come up with.

I bought my one in Lidl. It is a stainless steel Fagor and I am very happy with it having owned Moulinex and Prestige ones previously. It cost less than €30.
