IT Support Intervew

    Hi guys,

I have an interview coming up for an IT Support job and have to give a five minute presentation on the role itself. Any tips or general advice?

I worked in IT support few years back but company closed and I've not had a solely IT role since, but a mixture of admin positions with IT responsibilities.

I have a Diploma in I.S. and various other short courses so will be up against it in terms of qualifications. Any ideas to help me blow them out of the water with my brilliance!!!!! ;)

    Thanks!

    How large is the company?

    What technology do they use?

About 200 employees across five offices. Have had no IT person before now and are way behind - eg only have internet access for the last 15 months, have no policies or procedures in place for even the most basic of things such as back ups (which appear to be done sporadically at best). Offices using free email accounts, website designed (not very well) by son of an employee and is very out of date. PC's using everything from Win98 to Vista, mostly XP. Mostly using MS Office and one customised accounts package that they want to replace.

So as limited as I might be, I think there's plenty of room for me to assist!

Sounds perfect. My presentation would be how I am going to solve all those problems.
