A Little Help?

Hey,

I'm currently studying qualitative biomechanics on my P.E. course, and we are analysing video footage of various aspects of various sports. We now need to bring in some footage ourselves.

I've been looking for a good clip of a roundhose kick (preferebly like a demo, teaching etc.) online, but I've mostly come up with pimply young fellas in their basements getting beaten badly by their heavy bags.

Perhaps my google fu is just very weak, but if any kind soul on this board happens to have such footage laying around on their hard drive, I'd really appreciate it if you could pop it into this thread,

Hi there,

Check this out, this is a round kick from hell, its Kaoklai vs Mighty Mo, there is a huge weight difference between the fighters as you will see in the footage, Mighty Mo has a legendary over the top righ hand which is devastating, but he gets emptied by the wee Thai.

Also this is me round kicking an opponent the foot is raised with the toes pointed but the hip turns over at the last second and catches flush.

The overhead view one is not textbook correct, but the graphics and soundtrack make the video fairly cool by comparisson to the other crap you can find online.

They're both cool looking though, even if the second one isn't perfect. You'd probably be better off using one of those if you were analysing something instead of using bad video and perfect technique. You're probably not presenting it to a room full of thaiboxers anyway so I'd go with fancy over correct

@redraven: thank you very much for the clips. I hadn't wanted to use fight clips, cause the camera angle is usually pretty crap for analysis, but the side on slo-mo shot from the kaoklai mighty mo fight is perfect. thank you again.

@khannie: thanks for both the clips, I reckon I'll use the human weapon as the "textbook" analysis, and then do a comparison to the Kaoklai ko, the overhead shot is pretty cool looking, but doesn't lend itself to analysis too well

@roper: no, theres no thai boxers in the class, half of them think I do kung fu, and the other half think I roll around with sweaty men for fun (well I do, but not like that )

Nothing's sacred. I thought what went to Siam stayed in Siam (except for the STD's).....Just as well I didn't take "her" up on her "....in toilets" offer or I'm sure you'd know all about it too.
