Recommended adventure holidays?

The better half and I want to go on an adventure holiday between July and September and I was hoping you good people may have some links/recommendations from your own experiences. We’re fairly active and pretty fit so we shouldn’t have many issues regarding the extremes of it all and we were thinking some place in Europe would suit, but we would go further afield depending on what we find as we were originally going to do the Inca Trail and Angels Falls in South America, but that fell through because of the Inca Trail permits.

I have attached some of the best links I found, but for a 14 day break what we would really love is maybe 8 days on an adventure holiday e.g, kayaking, canoeing, mountain climbing, mountain bike riding, boating, canyoning, parachuting, trekking, paragliding, scuba-diving etc. and the remaining few days we could spend relaxing somewhere not a million miles away like a beach with a water park nearby, but not a place with the holiday drunkards either (not that we won’t be indulging in some alcohol intake ourselves!!).

For example, if we went to France for an adventure holiday we could travel to the coast and be around the beach for a few days, but if we went to Turkey, we’d have a brilliant adventure holiday and from all accounts better than France, but travel to other places e.g. Crete etc. is OK, but getting back to Ireland from the “relaxing” part of the holiday takes too much hassle and time.

We’d also like to fly from Ireland direct or else this will eat into our holiday time, but again, depending on what you guys say, our minds can be changed.

Anyway, here is what we have found so far…

This has my name written all over it and then we can have a few days to on the beaches and maybe find a water park with slides 
But, a few days after this would mean a lot of travelling to go elsewhere and we can’t see anything else that great for 4-5 days in this part of the world without spending a day or more travelling and that only leaves us with 2-3 days for ourselves.

I’d pick the first one on this list if I could as long as we could do more than the 4 activates they have listed and there are at least 7+ I’d want to do:

Looks really good and we could head off somewhere else for 4-5 days after we are dropped back in Barcelona

Thanks for the help in advance.

One possibility would be Lake Bled in Slovenia

You can fly Ryanair to Salzburg in Austria very cheaply and it's between 2 and 3 hours on a train - this might sound like an inconvenience but this train journey was one of the most spectacular of my life (there may also be direct flights to Ljubljana leaving you with a train journey of under an hour - not sure about this)

Bled is an up and coming tourist resort, and certainly nothing like I expected it to be, located in the foothills of the Alps. There are plenty of activities around, kayaking, white water rafting, gorge walking, hiking etc. There are also old churches and things like that to see

The only thing I see wrong with it is that I think I'd have enough of it after a week (but then again I'd be like that in most places)
