I'm pretty awful at photoshop. How much saturation is too much?

    Ok, I'll bite.

I do think it looks a bit over saturated. The red just looks too deep.

Maybe just bring it back a small bit?

Looks okay on my uncalibrated work laptop.

Then again a B&W would also work with this shot, tho TBH I'm not sure what to make if it.

I think the red is fine, but I'd start again in PS, open up a saturation adjustment layer, and bring up the reds ever so slightly more than the yellows - I think it's the yellow that works too strong in the image.

Okay, tried to do what Al said. Paul, havn't ignored your advice, and I'm gonna try reduce the reds. And I'll mess around with this a bit more and see what you all think. It's my photoshop practice piece.

less is more, but occasionally more is less. they're plastic aren't they? bound to be less saturated than real flowers innit?

Good spot and yes, they look worse all round than real flowers. Have a final one where I've toned the red right down, will post soon.

i think the saturation is fine, im a fan of lots of bright colours in the pics though, the one thing i would do though it crop it so the flowers arnt in the middle of the shot., :)

Like the B&W version more myself. The flowers are too centred for my liking as well.
