Getting a contract from a builder

    We agreed a price with a builder over a week ago, he told me that he would prepare a contract and post it out to us,
    Im just: 1.wondering does this normally take over a week?, and
    2. Is there anything i should be looking out for specifically within this contract?
    3. Is there anything that i should look to get included before we sign on this?
