Does anyone know when entourage is coming back to rte?
Season 2 ended well before xmas but there has been no sign of season 3 starting?

According to Digiguide it's back on Mon 21 April at 22:55. I can't wait, love this show.

Saw the promo for it last night kicking off with the Aquaman premiere. This is a great show, but I only know about it cause I was given the boxed sets of season 1 & 2 for Christmas. And yet it's squeezed into a late night schedule on RTE along with so many other good shows. What's the point putting on such good drama for a limited audience?

From what i have heard about how Rte buy the shows from the US. The buy the shows as blocks, so lets say to get one of the shows airing primetime on Rte from US , they pay a certain price and get that show along with some other shows from that network which leads to those shows being showed late night on rte.Quite a pity really, saw all 4 seasons of entourage and the show is awesome imo but Rte is rubbish anyway so they wouldnt know a decent show if it hit them in the balls.

Also, saw promo for s2 on RTE,can confirm its on this monday at 10:55

I didn't watch it the other night. And I'm not planning to. I'll wait til I get the series on dvd and I can watch it in my own time. It's on too late. So RTE dont get me as one of their audience. It's a shame. There's lots of good programming on by 11, but like a lot of people I'm usually drifting off.

Prime time means crap time these days. And all the stations are at it. It's not just RTE. Any TV station that's ruled by ads is going to give you that old time mantra - the public gets what the public wants. That's where the money is. The BBC doesn't have ads, its driven in a slightly different way, so it's not as bland. So you get a series like Heroes at 9pm and not 11.30.

RTE gives you some semblance of news, current affairs and over the last few years has attempted to commission some pretty good drama. Pure Mule was a good series,a little bleak yeah, but I'd rather watch a programme going somewhere like that than be stuck with a recently married couple who cant decide what colour to paint their kicthen.
