Did a placepot today for the first time just to see how it works.. could anyone tell me whether I win anything on this..

    Aintree:

First race: Song of Songs, Mon Michael (both unplaced)
Second race: Tidal Bay (won @ 6-4)
    Third race: Osana (2nd @ 11-4)
Fourth race: According to Pete (3rd at 16-1)
Fifth race: Snowy Morning (3rd at 16-1), Cloudy Lane (unplaced)
    Sixth race: My Petra (unplaced)

    Total of four places.

    €0.50 cent per bet x 8 bets = €4

No at least one horse must be placed in each race, your placepot was over after the 1st race.

Just another quick question about how they work.

I did another one today a 25 cent one at Lingfield and got it right. After the racing was done it said 293.00 was the Placepot.

How is it calculated how much I'd get back? Is that 293.00 to a €1 stake and therefore I'd get quarter of 293?

youll get a quarter of the 293 presuming it was a single placepot .i.e you only picked one horse per race
