Well, i really shouldnt call myself newly qualified as I still have a couple of weeks to go but ill soon be finished my HDip (i know i should call it a PGDE). Anyway i am unsure of what to do with my career from here. I have found this year stressful and am in no rush whatsoever to get settled into a teaching job in Ireland( i feel if i get settled in a job here that i will be stuck in it till im 65). Anyway id love to try something different for a year or so, perhaps teaching foreign. However i'm unsure about what countries my qualifications would suit and how easy/difficult it is to get a job in certain countries. Id love to spend a year or so teaching in America, Canada, Australia, New or perhaps an English college on the Continent. i am totally clueless about how to go about it. I feel like im coming to a cross roads in my life and its beginning to worry me a little. Im 23 and i am qualified to teach History and Geography, and also English to Junior Cert Level. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also what is a newly qualified teacher meant to do during the summer:confused:
