have a bit of a dilema here, cut my hair short a few weeks ago, no 3 or 4 all over, about 5mm in lenght, now the hair has been thining abit the last few years, and first noticed a small thining patch a couple of years ago, again when i cut my hair short

now last night, was in the take away, there was a camera pointing down on me, in the monitor i seen a small bald spot on my crown, hard to gage on the screen but whoud have been the size of a €1 to €2 coin

    what do i do

    shave shorter, 1 or less
    regain/similar
    dont worry bout it

    ps, i'm 29

Just keep doing your hair as you've always done it, who cares.

Or if you're really concerned, get hair transplant surgery, they're not hugely expensive considering it stays for life afterwards and if I ever start losing it that's the route I'll be going

    Shave it, then shine it.

Option 1 (You'll really appreciate it in the Summer) and 3 - They say worrying about it will only exacerbate the issue.

it sounds tiny so i'd leave it for now, and then start shaving it down to a number one when it gets bigger

Why worry about it? I'm 30 and I have a fine spot that's getting thinner and thinner on top, plus my hair is slightly receeding at the front. I'm not worried because it happens. If it gets to a stage that it looks bad it'll be shaven.

    Going bald..... it happens.

I have used a "number 2" blade for years and it is great!

There seems to be a little confusion over the definition of "shaving".
I would define shaving as using a similar razor as I use on my face.

So, I would recommend using a "number 2" (or 3) in preference to shaving.
A "number 2" is easier maintenance and strangely is much warmer !

Quite frankly if you offered me a full head of hair now I would refuse it !

not ready for the full head shave yet, ie, mach3 look, most would go wouldbbe a no 1 (havn't done it for a while), possibly, dedending how it looks might try without the guard (have not done before), ie, just have it with stubble

Some men actually look really handsome buzzed short, like the Transporter I & II lead actor (Stratton or? Can't remember his name at the moment). Saw him in a different film with a lot of hair, and he wasn't attractive at all that way.

    Statham, Jason Statham.

I got my hair cut there the other day and started to notice the hair is receeding a lot:( (I'm 23). However, my hair is still very thick everywhere it is growing.

What I want to know is does this receeding process happen to a certain extent with every man and does it keep on going in from now on? Or maybe my forehead is getting bigger:D

There's something called a Norwood scale that shows the different types of receding during hairloss, google ie. Everyones hairline recedes a little bit from their early teens (much thicker fringe etc) but yours could be actual hairloss Al_Fernz. Check with a doctor before you use meds, or just shave it

To Blue Lagoon, mens fears over hairloss don't come from whether a guy looks good with a bald head or not, and in some cases like Jasons Statham they look better. It's losing that choice that freaks us out

Go to your doctor and get some tests. It could be lack of iron or a thyroid problem.
