Birds Damaging My Car

    Hello Everybody,

Could anybody please advise me of a HUMANE way to stop a few small Robin sized birds damagaing my car.

They crap all over it and continue flying into the wing mirrors - even when I have them folded inwards.

Any ideas would be much appreciated.

    Regards,

maybe feed them to distract them from your car? hang a birdfeeder or two with birdfood in it around your house maybe?

My next door neighbour does feed them and I am wondering if that's part of the cause of attracting them there in the first place.

You can buy silhouettes of birds of prey that stick to house windows some people find them good, they might be worth a try heres two to try.

This is a regular problem with Chaffinches and Robins at this time of year. They are attacking their reflections as they think it is a rival and no amount of feeding will distract them. Turning in the Wing Mirrors does help; also try changing the angle the car is parked at, as the refliection may not be as obvious that way. It's seasonal and will pass!

Put a grey crow or magpie decoy on top of your car. And move it around regularly.

Any gun and tackle shop in your area will have them or be able to order them in on short notice.
