Mechanical extraction fans

    Would anyone know roughly how much it costs to install a bathroom mechanical extraction fan? I just need a ball park estimate for a friend - he needs to break through a 300 cavity wall to install it to the external wall, so it should be a supply & fit job including patching up afterwards.

    Not touting for business here! Much appreciate any help though.

    sparks may charge 100 p hour , nixer

    fan cost 2/300 ( guess )

    typically after sparks ( apologies to any reading - next comment is based on experience ) you are left with patch up works ( repair plaster / paint etc )

    ONE POINT TO NOTE - drill from outside in - the number of building faces I've seen ruined by drilling from inside out ............

    I got one in last year - vented via flex-pipe through attic area and out at soffit and I think it cost about €150 all in. Cutting through a wall will incur a bit of extra expense.
