    Whilst the outer shell and body might be 1950s - don't look too closely under the bonnet, unless you want
    to see a mishmash of car parts from a dozen car makers.

    As for flying, the common options are usually a charter or Virgin via Gatwick/Manchester or Air France via CDG.
    If flying Air France, don't expect anything fancy service wise.

    A tip I'd have is to see the real Cuba, get to see life outside the main tourist resorts.
    See if you can see some of the smaller provincial towns and spend time with the real Cubans.
    Cuba is relatively more expensive than other tourist destinations in Latin America and shopping
    as we know it is non-existent.

    Enjoy the rum, cigars and coffee!
